About the club
- IPMS SJ
- We are a group of people who enjoy the hobby of plastic model building. Our members interests range from Aircraft, Automobiles, Ships, Figures, Armour, to Sci Fi. We have all skill levels from beginners to some pretty talented modellers, but we mainly meet to share our work, ideas, tips and techniques, and talk about modelling in general. Meeting Summary September 3, 2013
Small crowd tonight
Lastly, my more or less finished M4A3 Sherman depicting Creighton Abrams Thunderbolt VI from the Battle of the Bulge time.
Looking forward to seeing more folks and more work next month
See you then!
Steve F, Steve R, Mike and Chris.
Steve F. brought in a number of finished projects tonight.
His Avenger and Wildcat are RCN aircraft from WWII, from HMS Nabob.
Steve also brought a sampling of contemporary Battleships
from the WWII era..
Bismark, HMS King Georege V, IJN Yamoto, and USS Iowa (from left to right).
Notice the lengths and widths of each. Do you know how to tell the difference between USS Iowa and its sister ship USS New Jersey? New Jersey is 4 inches longer.
Mike brought in an update to his Tiger I. Starting to look
very nice. Hope to see this on the table at the show.
Chris brought in his completed fresh build Scimitar. Next step
is the weathering, hope to see this one in the show as well.
